Shot on 4x5
4x5 film photography is a form of large format photography in which an image is captured onto a sheet of film that is, quite literally, 4 inches by 5 inches in length and height. During my first two semesters at ArtCenter College of Design, shooting on 4x5 rail cameras were treated as a core, fundamental skill for all students in the department. The process of shooting, developing, and printing images in this format is one that requires time and delicacy as opposed to shooting digitally; and I quickly became in love with it. The results yield a black and white image with fine shadow and highlight details and a beautiful, natural grain all throughout as shown in the following various images.
